SHANGHAI, June 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S. carmaker Tesla on Friday inked a deal with Chinese partners to build a grid-side energy storage station in Shanghai using its Megapack energy-storage batteries.
A DIY charging station is a self-built solution to power Chromebooks, tablets, and other corded electronics. This station, featuring four outlets and eight USB ports, adjusts to suit your devices. It comes equipped with a USB port and serves as the perfect, multi-device charging destination. The charging station is great for both your home and office.
The gigawatt-hour-scale energy storage station is to be located in the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, as per the deal signed by Tesla, the administrative committee of the Lin-gang Special Area, the people''s government of Shanghai''s Fengxian District, and China Kangfu International Leasing Co., Ltd.
Their growing use helps stabilize power grids, prevent outages, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. This project is Tesla’s first large-scale energy storage installation in China, complementing its existing automotive manufacturing presence in the city through Giga Shanghai.
