Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄, LFP) batteries, with their triple advantages of enhanced safety, extended cycle life, and lower costs, are displacing traditional ternary lithium batteries as the preferred choice for energy storage.
In this study, the comprehensive environmental impacts of the lithium iron phosphate battery system for energy storage were evaluated. The contributions of manufacture and installation and disposal and recycling stages were analyzed, and the uncertainty and sensitivity of the overall system were explored.
