BESTs are increasingly deployed, so critical challenges with respect to safety, cost, lifetime, end-of-life management and temperature adaptability need to be addressed. The rise in renewable energy utilization is increasing demand for battery energy-storage technologies (BESTs).
They demonstrated that the modules’ capacity loss remains below 10% even after seven years of operation, and the overall battery performance remains within expected specifications. Based on their findings, they projected the battery’s full lifespan on the grid, indicating it should easily exceed 15 years.
