Abstract: This paper presents a hybrid Energy Storage System (ESS) for DC microgrids, highlighting its potential for supporting future grid functions with high Renewable Energy Sources (RESs) penetration. While hydrogen ESS provides long-term energy stability, it typically has slower response times than batteries.
To ensure the efficiency of the intended DC microgrid, control and energy management algorithms are proposed. The proposed energy management system adopts a coordinated approach, seamlessly integrating droop control, adaptive filter-based method, and fuzzy logic control techniques.
The proposed method excels in voltage regulation, energy management, and microgrid reliability. These outcomes validate its potential to significantly enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the DC microgrid, positioning it as a promising solution for creating resilient and sustainable power systems.
