Accelerating energy transition towards renewables is central to net-zero emissions. However, building a global power system dominated by solar and wind energy presents immense challenges. Here, we demonstrate the potential of a globally interconnected solar-wind system to meet future electricity demands.
Therefore, this paper proposes a voltage drop loss optimization strategy based on supercapacitors to achieve active support and optimization of voltage drop loss reduction in the system, thereby enhancing the frequency regulation capability and operational stability of microgrid systems.
Energy storage systems, due to their rapid response characteristics, have proven to be an effective means for mitigating voltage and frequency regulation [10, 11]. To fully utilize the characteristics of distributed energy storage systems, Marei et al. proposed a control strategy for distributed generation devices in microgrids.
